Message to members,
Rememberance: Evelyn M. Greaves
It is with our deepest sympathy that the Camera Club notes the death of Evelyn M. Greaves, FPSA, EPSA, an active, long time member and past president of CACC.
For over 30 years Evelyn was active in CACC as well as the St. Louis Camera Club. During those years she contributed as an exhibitor, judge and committee member. Her work was shown internationally and she chaired numerous events.
Evelyn traveled widely, having visited over 100 countries. She always brought back interesting, sensitive and artistic photographs of her travels. Evelyn died in January at her home in Collinsville after a long battle with Cancer. She was 80.
CACC Trip to Monticello, IL and the Allerton Estate.
While the travel day was rainy, that didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the rest of the weekend. Saturday and Sunday were fabulous and the Estate was surprising in many ways. Food . . . what can be said, the club always finds the best!
We had a fascinating performance by a master glass-blower who really warmed the crowd (pun intended). The Monticello Railway was a great experience with the opportunity to meet and speak with the restorers and get VIP treatment.
The Halloween party was one of our best! Really fun costumes, great food and drink and best of all opportunity to just chat, share stories and laugh until the wee hours. As is the rule - "What happens there - stays there!" But we can't resist showing a few "incriminating photo's" in the newsletter.
If you would like to see more photos of the Allerton Estate, Monticello and the Halloween Party outtakes Marvin Meyer has generously posted his shots on-line. You can find them at:
Thanks Marvin!

Canon S3/S5 Special Interest Group
There has been a request for continuing the special
interest group on the Canon S3/S5.
We need 4-6 members to participate. Call
Sammylane if you're interested 233-8443.
Last year's group was very enthusiastic & interest
was high. We can do it again if a couple of others
are interested. (I just discovered a quick & easy
way to increase/decrease exposure on my S5.)
If you would like to form or
participate in a Special Interest Group
If you and others would like to explore and learn
more about a certain camera, special technique or
other topic of photography – Just let Wayne Shaw
know about your interest and we can publicize it
in the newsletter. This is a great way to advance
your knowledge and share among members of
similar interest.
